19/09/07
The final stages of planning are underway and the public installtion "Re-Writing The Dictionary In A Day" will be taking place in October. The success of the project will rely on the amount of visitors to the work and therefore there is an open invitation to visit and become part of the process. As well as Dean's work there will be a number of Johnson related events taking place including a film by Sound Artist, David Harper and Sculptor, Peter Walker entitled "Faces Of The City".When asked about the installation Dean said, "We are all very excited about the project and we hope that it will all be a success as well as give us the results that will form the basis of the revised dictionary." He also talked about the essence of the project, "I'm really pleased to have been involved and I hope that the installation is a success not only in terms of the event itself but also in kicking off the project and raising the interest levels in Dr Johnson that will build up to the tercentenary in 2009."
