Dean Kelland is a contemporary UK artist who explores representations of male identity in British sitcoms of the 1950s, '60s and '70s. Using a combination of performance, film-making, collage, and print Kelland re-visits popular masculine figures from British comedy history in order to interrogate, critique and also re-engage the audience with the problematic nature of stereotypical mass media representations of masculinity.
